The stage was set and both teams started and finished the first half in an aggressive yet determined fashion but neither team found a way to break the deadlock. The second half brought the watchers more excitement, as Max Jencks, just after the break calmly slotted the ball past the ISHCMC goalkeeper, only for them to respond with a goal just seconds after kicking-off again. Soon afterwards, Matt Mckelvie was brought down in the area and I stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to put BIS back in the lead. But similarly to the first time we had scored, they responded with a goal just minutes following ours, once again our hard work had been undone. Our dominance was not reflected by the scoreline but the final whistle blew, bringing the game to a halt with the scoreline standing at 2-2.
As a whole, an impressive and dominant performance from BIS which could have been echoed by the results on another day. Also, a special mention to our coaches, Mr Husband and Coach James Mcaloon for enabling us to play as well as we did.
