Year 1 Play Dates with Thien Phuoc

16 March 2018

Our Community Service programme is designed to provide our children with the opportunity to develop a respectful and caring sense of social responsibility towards other people and the environment on both a local and global scale. The whole school programme gets underway from the beginning of the academic year. Most recently, our Year 1 children have been experiencing their involvement with the programme by meeting their community partners, our friends from Thien Phuoc foster home for children with disabilities.

They have been having a great time interacting with the children from Thien Phuoc. Each week, children from Year 1 meet in the Fundinotots area and spend an hour playing, building, laughing, running and having a good time with children of various disabilities. At first, this was a bit daunting for some of our Year 1 children, but they soon built confidence and had lots of fun.
