U14A Girls Football City Championships - Match Report

08 March 2018

For our U14 Girls A team, the football City Championships saw them bring home the 1st place trophy for the fifth year running! Gemma Handscombe provides the highlights...

On Thursday the U14 Girls (A) football team participated in the City Championships hosted here at BIS HCMC. We first had the round robin where we played each team in the tournament. Our first match was against ISHCMC who were our biggest competition in the previous fixtures as we had drawn to them twice. We went into the first half passing well and moving the ball around with confidence, during the second half we managed to score 2 goals! Which brought the score to 2-1. Our next game was against SSIS, we finished the game with an excellent win with a score of 3-0. Our last game in the round robin was against AMIS and we had to beat them to determine our space in the final, we all tried our best and were able to win the game.

We were then in the finals against ISHCMC. This was our last game of the season and we passed the ball well and dominated in the game with a final score of 4-0. We were delighted with our achievement of becoming City Champions and are glad that all our hard work paid off on the pitch. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing coach Ms Webb!
