This marks the beginning of their weekly visits during Term 3 to build friendships and enjoy the range of activities and facilities available at the new campus.
Fortunately, a select few Year 1 students, who have demonstrated an excellent attitude towards community service this year, were nominated to help support the F3 students and facilitate the play dates.
It was brilliant to see student leadership from the Year 1 students, demonstrating respect and care to other children.
This week, the Binh Tho students were very excited to join their new friends to explore the stimulating and exciting F3 classrooms, Early Learning Centre and were even fortunate to have a splash pool session with Mr John and Ms Chau.
The children were engaged with a range of activities, including: creative dress-up, imaginative role playing, constructing Lego, arts and crafts and much more.
It was clear from all of the positive comments from staff, children’s smiles and self-reflection how much they appreciated the opportunity to play together in these exciting environments.
This F3 community service project positively demonstrates BIS’s commitment to providing appropriate opportunities for students to develop a respectful and caring sense of social responsibility to other people.
