The Graduation Ceremony is a highlight of our calendar and was attended by proud parents, as well as teachers past and present. Our distinguished guests Ian Gibbons, Her Majesty's Consul General, HCMC, attended with his wife Karen and our guest speaker this year was Mr Shaun Williams, Regional Director NAE and past Principal of BIS. Mr Williams gave a thought provoking speech about the nature and fast pace of change that has been a feature around the lives of our graduates. He went on to encourage our graduates with advice around using the great education they have experienced to prepare for the unpredictability of their future in such a rapidly changing world.
Our Head Students rounded off the ceremony with their reflections on the past, the present and a gaze into the future as they thanked their parents and teachers for the support they have received over the years.
The day was truly a celebration of success, with many awards being presented to mark the occasion, and a few tears being shed too. In the evening, the graduates returned to the Park Hyatt ready for a night of festivity. With great food, superb student entertainment, and plenty of fun the Class of 2018 received an excellent send off!
Farewell to the Class of 2018

From what we have seen of you so far every confidence that you will do so too.
You graduate with our strong belief in you and our admiration for the good people you have become and with our heartfelt wishes for a hugely exciting and worthwhile future.
FOBISIA Intermediate Music Festival Jakarta
An excited group of our student musicians recently made their way to Jakarta on an inspiring and melodic journey to this year’s FOBISIA Music Festival - they had a great time together and through their shared enthusiasm for music made new friends and extended their music appreciation and instrumental skills.
One of our avid Year 9 musicians, Naomi captured the feelings of the whole group when she described the trip, "I had such a great time at Music FOBISIA and I met so many great people and even friends from previous years. The pieces challenged me while still being enjoyable to play. I always enjoy the FOBISIA trips and this one was no exception!"
Our thanks to Ms Husband and Mr Alexander for leading this year’s trip.
