Mr Anthony Rowlands: Weekly Update 01/06/2018

01 June 2018

It is always hectic at this time of year, as we are still working incredibly hard on all fronts, both in the classroom and with numerous events happening on all campuses. However, we always have one eye on the future and, regrettably, we have staff who will be leaving BIS HCMC at the end of this academic year.

Below you will find a list of departing staff and each one has contributed hugely to the success of the school. Change is inevitable and each departing staff member  is moving on to a new adventure in their lives. I would like to thank them all  for what they have done for the school over the years and wish them well for the future. We still have four weeks left to enjoy their company and say goodbye at appropriate times over this period. Thank you to every one of you.

As staff move on to new beginnings, then others will join us for the 18/19 academic year. Recruitment of staff  to replace the above is almost complete  and we have also appointed additional staff  in several areas to enhance the quality of education even further. Details of the new staff joining us for next year will be placed on the school’s website over the summer holidays and formal introductions will be made in August upon our return to school.

We also said farewell to our Year 13 students at the recent Graduation Ceremony. This wonderful occasion was held at the Park Hyatt last Saturday 26th May and it was a welcome opportunity to celebrate the climax of their journey with BIS HCMC. They will now move on to their next adventures; some to the best Universities in the world, others, taking a gap year. I am grateful to all the staff, parents and students who worked to make the Graduation Ceremony such a successful event with  a particular thanks to Ms Jane Hall, Head of Sixth Form for coordinating everything.

I do hope that you all have a wonderful weekend.

Anthony Rowlands, Principal
