The BIS Barracudas performance was outstanding, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all the events.

The 200 Freestyle consisted of 5 BIS Barracudas students. Jacob Bieri won the 15 and over boys, Andrew Vu was the winner for the 13-14 boys and Harry Park won the 11-12 boys.

In the 50 Butterfly Khoa Tran was the overall winner and first place for the 13 – 14 boys. Quynh An Tran wasn’t far behind in third place overall and winner for the 11 – 12 Girls. North Pongwatana placed first for the 11 – 12 boys.

The 100 backstroke allowed Jacob Bieri to shine in his preferred event, winning overall and first for the 15 and over boys. Shubhankar Patki placed second overall and first for the 13 – 14 boys. Ryan Lower finished third overall and first in his age group, 11 – 12 boys.

Ryo Sarashina, Andrew Vu and Khoa Tran finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall in the 50 breaststroke. A close race between our 13 – 14 male competitors with less than a second separating them. Maika Pedersen performed well in her favourite event, finish first in the 15 and over girls.

The race was back on for Ryo, Andrew and Khoa in the 100 Freestyle. Again, only separated by one second. However, a different outcome to the previous event 1st to Andrew, 2nd to Khoa and 3rd to Ryo. Not far behind the 13 – 14 boys, Harry Park finished 4th overall and winner in the 11 – 12 boys. Quynh An was the overall female winner and winner in the 11 -12 girls.

The final individual event was the 200 IM, which consists of 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke and 50 freestyle. Jacob, Shubhankar and Ryo placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Ryan lower and Quynh An both placed first in their age category.

An outstanding meet, where the Barracudas were able to refine their race technique in preparation of the BIS Invitational in February. Thank you to all staff and parents that help make the event a success.

Well done Barracudas!
