SISAC U14 Girls Football City Championship - Pool C

On the 22nd of January, our BIS football team (Pool C) took a relaxing bus ride to the Renaissance International School for an upcoming competitive football competition. The experience was full of ups and downs, as described by Year 7 student Bao Van Phan in this match report.

U14 Girls Football City Championships - Pool C BIS HCMC

In the first and second match, we unfortunately missed a few goals and narrowly lost both games however that didn’t stop us from trying our best and putting a lot of effort out there. In our last match, we were up against the strongest team so far in the competition. Therefore, we concentrated and threw out all the effort we could. Furthermore, Mr Thom bribed us with ice-cream.

In the end, despite playing brilliantly we couldn’t get that goal. However, neither did they so the final score was 0-0. The competition was a great experience and taught us that we should always throw out our best work even if it’s a practice, competition or just for fun. Some of us carried home bruises and scars as well as getting a tan in the baking sunshine. But this only makes us want to fight more and bring victory to BIS.
