Primary PTG Update: 11/10/2019

The month of October was a busy one for the PTG in organising two super events.

  • PTG Bake Sale - BIS HCMC
  • Gayatri
  • Gayatri-2
  • Gayatri-3
  • Gayatri-4
  • Gayatri-5

PTG Bake Sale

The first was the ‘Bake Sale’ that happened last Friday the 4th October at both campuses. We would like to thank all the parents who contributed to the bake sale. Close to 15 parents from both campuses donated cakes and tasty treats.

We would like to thank Yongkyong and Pamela for helping with the cake collection in EY campus and would like to thank the front office/admission staff for helping at the Junior campus.

We would also like to thank Ms. Lily, Ms. Rohini, Ms. Aarthy, Ms. Prajakta, and Ms. Vivian for doing an amazing job of selling the cakes at Juniors and Ms. Jana, Ms. Tracy, Ms. Ai, Ms. Maki, Ms. Noriko for achieving a similar feat at the EY&I campus.

We also have to thank our main sponsors 4Gs Texas for donating 125 pieces of cupcakes and doughnuts at Juniors and Le Square for being the main sponsor at the EY&I campus with their donation of 120 pieces of croissants, chocolate croissants and Raisin-Danish.

Last but not least, a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all the parents and children for buying these delicious treats from us and helping raise funds. The money raised from the bake sale will be used for our community partners.

Parent Potluck Lunch

Our amazing Parent Potluck Lunch took place on Thursday 10th October at the EY&I campus. More than 30 parents participated in this event. It was lovely to see Mr. Anthony, Mr. Ian, Ms. Dee, Mr. Chris, Ms. Mary, Ms. Sarah, and Mr. Neil who came to support this event. Some of the EY& I teachers managed to spend some time also with the parents and taste the delicious food prepared by the parents. The table was filled with dishes from different parts of the word. As Mr Ian rightly said, “It looked like food from the entire world on a plate”. It was nice to see parents and the teachers trying different types of food. The Gym room of EY campus was filled with the aroma of food, mild music playing at the background and chatting and laughter. By the end of the event we could see happy faces and empty plates. Thank you to Ms. Virginie and Ms. Nishta for helping us on the day of the event. We would like to thank them as they took care of the entire food arrangements (labelling them clearly, placing the food on the table, encouraging others to try different foods and staying till the end).

We are definitely looking forward to our next potluck event that will happen in term 2.

The events run by parents for the BIS students adds to the social fabric of the school. Please consider signing up to any of the committees that BIS is going to need to run the events.
