Primary PTG Update: 22/11/2019

Thank you to all the families who participated in the Family Fun Evening on the 16th of November. The event was attended by parents, teachers and children. It was a great occasion to welcome new families and bring our BIS community together.

The weather was pleasant, and as the lights went on the atmosphere became more festive and fun. The bouncy castle, Lego Creation Station and Football Academy were packed at all times and the kids enjoyed many activities including, face painting, nail art and music games. The food and drinks available were much enjoyed too.

The PTG takes great pride in hosting such events, where we all come together as a part of the big BIS family. However, none of this is possible without everyone’s support.

So thank you to all volunteers for ticket sale and activities, the school teachers and support staff for helping us put this together.

Teachers Day – One of the best celebrations at school

On Wednesday morning, we were very lucky to celebrate Teacher's Day on the same day as World Children’s Day (Unicef).
Because we can't think of our children and their wellbeing without thinking about their teachers, our parent's group went into action to show our teachers how much we appreciate them.

A fantastic breakfast was ready in the early morning to make sure our beloved teachers started their day as best as they could.
It has been a true pleasure to see their faces smile with surprise and light up when they realized this beautiful buffet hade ben set up for them.

We would like to thank the Parents Teacher Group (PTG) for their coordination of the event and the team of volunteers that were early risers to make sure everything was set and ready to go!
If you would like to volunteer to one of our next coming events, please email bisvnptgap1@gmail.com, we are always happy to have extra hands on duty.

A big thank you also goes out to our partners in this event; Le Square, Brim coffee, Starbucks and My Natural Beauty. With your support, we have been able to make this morning celebration a big success!

Sub Committee Details

The main Primary PTG Committee is now set up, but of course we are looking for parents to volunteer on different event Committees for the 2019-2020 school year. The events run by parents for the BIS students adds to the social fabric of the school. Please consider signing up to any of the committees that BIS is going to need to run the events. Remember, if an event does not have a committee to organize or volunteers to help, it won’t run. This sign up list is to create a steering Committee; the Committee will be in charge of coordinating the event. The school will help with the logistics and the funds needed to run each event.

Please do not hesitate to contact the PTG at the email address bisvnptgap1@gmail.com.

International Week International Day BIS HCMC APP

International Week is a great event which unites our BIS friends from all over the world.  This year International Week is Monday 13th January to Friday 17th January 2020.

The Country Representative liaises with other country group members to share culinary delights from your child’s home country through the Global Café.  There will not only be food shared, but also an opportunity to dress the area where your food is served with a visual representation of your child’s fabulous home country.

This is a rewarding role within the PTG and we thank you for taking the time to consider your involvement towards the country groups.

Old Football Boot/Kit Collection for Community Partners

The PTG is doing it’s annual collection of used football boots and used football kits.  Collection boxes (which are marked) can be found as follows:

  • Junior Campus, near Gate A next door to the office.
  • EY&I Campus, by the parent wall between PJs and Reception.

These items will be donated to our Community Partners. Thanks in advance of any donations, they really are gratefully received!

We're inviting all parents to participate in the biggest event of the year: The Christmas BISzaar!
