We have arrived at the end of an incredibly busy and productive term.

20191210_181033

We have arrived at the end of an incredibly busy and productive term.  It’s been a whirlwind of activity since day 1 with some of the highlights including Enterprise Week culminating in Market Day and Sports Days for each year group. Trips to Thailand for swimming and MIT events, Hanoi for swimming and across to D7 for Nord Anglia Games took place and closer to home for Year 6 as they travelled to Minh Long Pottery.  Here at school we had the 2019 Young Musician of the Year, Speech and Drama competition for Year 5 and 6, Entry and Exit IPC points for each year group and our amazing Christmas Carol Concert this week. That is the tip of the iceberg and to list everything would make for a very long weekly update this week!

Brilliant learning experiences are part and parcel of what our teachers and teaching assistants do on a daily basis to support our students. We are very lucky to work with such a dedicated team and I would like to offer my sincere and personal thanks to all the teaching staff, office and admin staff as well as the support staff for ensuring that great learning can take place in a safe and secure environment.

Today we waved goodbye to the students and families that are leaving BIS to move further afield. Please take with you our best wishes for your next adventure and please do keep in touch.

For those families that are returning we look forward to seeing you on January 6th.  A reminder that PTSCs take place that very week on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th January and sign up is open now. Please ensure that you sign up to meet with your child’s class teacher. Children are also invited to attend these important meetings and it is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s interim report.

Sign up for clubs is also live and it is really important that this happens in the next few days so we can begin the process of setting up clubs for all students. Details about sign up is below and staff are available in both offices next week should you need assistance. Please note you will need to have accessed ISAMS to sign up for clubs.

Welcome Back Coffee Morning

I would like to invite you all to our ‘Welcome Back Coffee Morning’ that will be taking place from 8.00am in the Canteen at the Early Years and Infant Campus.  This event is very informal and provides an opportunity to welcome new families to BIS, as well as catch up with all the news from over the break.  Members of our PTG will be there to answer questions about how you can get more involved in the life of the school and regarding forthcoming events including the Primary International Week.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Interim Reports

Your child’s interim report is now available through both the new iSAMs 'Parent Portal' and 'iParent App'.  Should you require any assistance with this process, please do visit the main office and we will be happy to help.

If you have any questions with regards to the report, please do bring these with you to the Parent Teacher Student Conferences (PTSCs) in January.  The Parents’ Evening System is open for booking appointments now until Sunday 15th December.  Please sign up here to book an appointment.

Term 2 Clubs

The sign up for CCA sign up now live and the Club Booklet is available for you to read! We have extended the sign up until the middle of next week so please ensure that you sign up as soon as you can!  If you need assistance, please drop into Reception at the Junior Campus up to Wednesday next week.
