National Cuisine Week – Japan
The traditional meal from Japan, 'Land of the Rising Sun', is called 'gohan' which is mainly rice. Japanese cuisine emphasises seasonal ingredients and Japanese sushi is very popular throughout the world.
Japanese cuisine week at BIS Secondary was unique in its own way and a new experience for many. The students enjoyed it. Japanese mums and teachers helped decorate the place which portrayed glimpses from Japan within our cafeteria.
Coming next is the flavourful Chinese cuisine, which is one of the most popular foods around the world.
The Preloved Fair
The Preloved Fair was held on Sunday 2nd June and was once again a great success. "One man's trash is another man’s treasure!"
This event greatly helps in recycling, reusing and reducing waste. It is a great help to the people who want to get rid of some extra stuff while others can benefit from buying this at a very low cost.
Quiz Night for Students
Quiz night for BIS students; an evening where the eager students form small teams and indulge in healthy competition. A great opportunity for these young minds to test their knowledge just as much as it encourages them to keenly gather more in the future. The participation of parents adds more enthusiasm amongst the students. The PTG helped out by providing Pizzas. They also collaborated with the Caterers and got healthy drinks organised.
This brings us to the end of this academic year!
