Primary PTG Update - Friday 8th January 2021

HAPPY NEW YEAR from all the Primary PTG team! We hope you had wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrations and that the children are settling back into school life.

Our PTG Volunteer Coordinators (from L-R): Gayatri, Lily, Pamela, Jana, Ai, Vivian and Thomas (not in the photo)

We were so happy to welcome new families to BIS during the Orientation Day earlier this week.  It was lovely to meet those of you who attended and although we had hoped to welcome more families back to school, during our PTG Coffee morning, however as a precaution we have postponed it to later in the term.

Our next event is the New Comers ‘PTG Bus Tour & Lunch’ on Tuesday 12th January. This FREE event is organized for all new BIS parents, to help familiarize yourselves with ‘hot spots’ in this colourful and vibrant city, specifically Thao Dien and District 1.  You will also have the opportunity to meet other new families, and some of the PTG!  You will be provided with a booklet that has been created to provide lots of useful information about key places in Thao Dien and beyond.

The tour will start from EYIC at 8.30am and return you back to school at 1pm, after Lunch together at Estella Place.  This bus tour is FREE but you will pay for the lunch you choose to eat.

We hope you will make use of this golden opportunity and join us on this bus tour! If you would like to join this trip, please click here  to register your name. We have limited seats so please hurry!

In addition, we are already working on more exciting events coming throughout the term;

25-29 Jan – International Week & Global Café (Tues 26th & Wed 27th Jan) One of the biggest highlights of the schools calendar for children, families and staff…Save the dates and get ready to enjoy some delicious food from around the world!

Thursday 4th March – Book Swap - Donate unwanted books, exchange for something new, and whatever is left over will be donated to our Community Partners…It’s a WIN WIN WIN! Volunteers welcome. Whether you can spare an hour to sort the books,  or are available to help on the day of the event, there is a role for you! See the Sign Up link Below.

Saturday 20th March – Spring Fair! It’s the event of the Spring providing fun for all the family. It's 3 months away but we are already starting to work on it and are in need of many volunteers to make this event as memorable as it always is! Sign Up link below.

Thursday 15th April – Thuy’s Dream Cancer Coffee Morning. A very special event that raises awareness and funds for an incredibly important Cancer Charity in our community called Thuys Dream.  More information will follow but we would be so grateful to anyone who can volunteer some time to help with this event. Please sign up via the link below.

None of these events will happen without the support and commitment from our parent community. If you are able to spare even a small amount of time to help plan, set up, or execute any of the events, please help to register via this sign up link, and the PTG team will be in touch with you soon!

Many Thanks
