BMus (hons)
I have been fortunate to have enjoyed a varied musical career after graduating from the University of Surrey. After eight years as Director of Music at a prestigious, central London, all-boys prep school, I juggled a busy performing schedule as a pianist, violinist, viola player, and choral singer. As a touring musician, I have performed in several of the UK’s finest concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican, and as far afield as the United States, Russia, and The Philippines.
I have worked closely with several choirs both as an accompanist and director, including the internationally acclaimed boys choir, Libera, and as a consort leader for Eton Choral Courses. I am also a founding member and violinist of Stratus, a fresh and contemporary take on the piano trio, and made my concerto debut in London performing Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto no. 2.
After another rewarding Head of Music role in an all girls prep in London, I am delighted to be taking on the role as Head of Primary Music here at the British School of Guangzhou. Its affiliation with Julliard is one of its amazing draws and why BSG stands out as a leader in Performing Arts education. I am, therefore, thrilled to be working alongside such fine practitioners in the Performing Arts department and Julliard as a whole, and more importantly, with the incredible musicians that BSG has in its students.
