Last week, Year 2 became knights, princesses and dragons as part of the WOW entry point to the current Dungeons and Dragons Topic.
It was a fun filled day full of activities to celebrate the topic and a great way to get the children excited about learning all things medieval. Children were given a taster of some of the different things they will be learning this term through a range of activities. This included; following instructions to bake bread for the medieval banquet as well as sword and shield making. Children used many of the Be Ambitious skills including their Be Curious skills to ask and answer questions along with thinking about what they would like to learn from the topic. The highlight of the day was the banquet which was enjoyed by all and was a lovely end to a fantastic day. A successful Dungeons and Dragons event with the children showing fantastic enthusiasm for the day and hopefully the rest of the topic!
