Congratulations to our 15 enthusiastic Years 5 and 6 students who’ve successfully held their Digital Art and Photography Exhibition on 8th November!

Everyone is amazed by the excellent quality and creativity of the artwork created after learning for 8 lessons only in the BSB Digital Art and Photography Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) under Ms. Manning.

We’re extremely proud that during the exhibition, each artist stood by their favourite digital art and photographs displayed on easels, and answered questions from the teachers about their creations. At first, they seemed quite nervous but as their confidence grew, we can see the sparkle in their eyes as they share their passion about their artwork!

What apps or tools did you use to create the artwork?

Each week students explored different Apps such as Procreate, Sketches, Silhouette and Kaleidoscope. We also had a close look at the features of our iPAd cameras such as focus, brightness, contrast, exposure and saturation.

What did you like about this CCA?

We enjoyed the freedom of being able to take photographs of people and places that meant a lot to us.

We enjoyed seeing how much an image could change due to highlighting different aspects of it.

I enjoyed having the chance to explore and it was fun to learn something new. I learnt how to edit and am ready to use this skill on special occasions!

The thing I liked most was finding out more about editing and drawing. I felt nervous about the exhibition but afterwards I felt really proud about it!

Well done everyone!

Co-curricular Activities (CCA)

With the wide range of exciting CCA offered at BSB, every student can discover new talents and nurture existing passions. Each of our CCA are led by a teacher who ensures the activities are well planned and tailored towards each year group. Each year, we offer around 200 different CCA options and an additional 130+ Sports CCA on average for our Year 2-13 students.

We aim to provide many opportunities for students to participate in a range of unique life and learning experiences that help them develop into mature and successful global citizens. In particular, we have some CCA which aims to provide student leadership opportunities including Model United Nations (MUN), Eco-Committee, Global Streamers, Young Journalists, Roots and Shoots and Green Fingers. These run all year and students lead events throughout the school.
