The start of school is a very special time for new school beginners as well as for their parents and teachers. At this stage of their lives, the first experience of going to school, and many decisions are made for the years to come.
German Primary GK1 have therefore made it our task to combine learning and fun, and we have already been able to implement the first joint projects. For example, the older students in GK3 read to the students in GK1 every week in the library and make sure that the "little ones" feel comfortable in their new environment.
Learning letters and numbers was not just about learning something new. The students were allowed to show their creative side and designed colorful letters and numbers. This resulted in great works of art made of plasticine, wool, or glitter, and everyone was allowed to design their masterpieces according to their own ideas.
Even during Virtual School Experience (online learning) from home, nothing stopped us from continuing the lessons with full joy. As a strong community, we managed to read, write and do math together. Not only that, during this time we also created great artworks, which the children enthusiastically presented in front of their devices.
