Time Capsule
Secondary students are marking this special day by putting together a Time Capsule to be buried in the ground for 20 years. They hope that when people open it in 2043, the contents can give an insight into our daily life in 2023 and inspire others to look ahead at the next 20 years.
See some of the selected special items that students put together themselves!
Thank you for all your brilliant contributions towards the time capsule and thank you Ms Jessica Smith, for organising this!
Celebration and Learning Activities
Students learn interesting facts and history about the British monarchy. In Year 5’s English lessons, students are writing letters to King Charles III. See Terrence’s lovely letter and artwork. He congratulates King Charles III on his coronation and said that “I know you are a very good King, you like the environment protect the nature” and “I will be very happy if you can come to China!”
All Year 3 students become kings and queens wearing their own creative royal crowns.
Students designed commemorative coins and created different arts and crafts to celebrate the occasion.
Wear Red, White and Blue for Charity
Students are invited to come to school wearing red, white and blue or “royal” attires and donate to the Future Thinkers, a charity building a library in a migrant school to benefit disadvantaged children.
In preparation for the big British Tea Party to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, students made flags and bunting for decorations, baked biscuits and making sandwiches in British flavours of course!
Thank you the Secondary students who helped to set up the Big British Tea Party for the Secondary School!
