The Juilliard School in New York is one of the world’s leading institutions for performing arts education. This collaboration with Juilliard is exclusive to students at BSB and Nord Anglia Education schools. It allows our students access to the skill and experience of world-leading performing arts delivered by BSB’s outstanding teachers. Combined in our day-to-day BSB dance, drama, and music programmes, this inspires our students and sparks their passion to pursue their talents and interests.

Juilliard Curriculum Specialist in our Classrooms

Brian is BSB’s designated Curriculum Specialists and works closely with our Performing Arts teachers throughout the year. During his two days at BSB, Brian hosted Professional Development sessions with the music teachers, performed demo classes, and conducted lesson observation and feedback sessions with music teachers.

We aim that our Juilliard visitors will see different ages and musical groups every time they come to BSB. Brian has visited many classes in both Primary and Secondary school and many students got the chance to hear and interact with him.

Hear what our Music Teachers like about Brian’s visit:

Seungyoun Han said “It was inspiring to see Juilliard Curriculum Specialist Brian Drye teach our students. All students engaged their musical ability by playing an instrument or singing. In a short amount of time, students were able to construct music with multiple layers creating wonderful harmonies.”

Misuzu Burns said “The Juilliard Professional Development with Brian was very nice because Juilliard offers cutting-edge, inquiry-based teaching and learning, and it prepares BSB students for further education. The Juilliard curriculum makes our school special and unique. This inspiring programme is for both our students and teachers.”
