We have just received an update from the The Indonesian charity Peduli Anak, supported by DCIS.

The Indonesian charity Peduli Anak, based in Lombok,  employs local staff and provides residential care, family care, medical and healthcare services to hundreds of underprivileged children.

Hit hard by the earthquakes last year, Lombok is still recovering. The shelter homes for underpriviliged children run by Peduli Anak were damaged and destroyed and the charity is still working hard to rebuild them. Through our chairty drive at the end of Term 1 Dover Court managed to raise enough money for a new playground for the children living at their centre.

About Peduli Anak
Peduli Anak Foundation is located on the remote Indonesian island of Lombok. 1.5 hectares of land in the middle of the rice fields was bought and a project area with shelters, schools and medical facilities was built from scratch. Currently, almost 10 years later, Peduli Anak employs almost 60 local staff and provides residential care, family care, medical and healthcare services to hundreds of underprivileged children.
