We are delighted therefore to announce that our BSB Graduating Class of 2016 has achieved outstanding IB Diploma results! Every year’s graduating class is special to BSB, but this year group perhaps particularly so, as they were the first year group to complete the IB Diploma at BSB and we are very proud of their achievements.
- Our students' average score in the IB Diploma was 34, significantly above the 2016 global average of 30 points.
- Amy Wei achieved 44 points, just 1 point short of the maximum of 45, whilst SuMin Kang achieved 43. This is an outstanding achievement for these students. The percentage of BSB students achieving over 40 points was well above the global average.
- Almost all of our students entered the universities of their first choice, which included some of the top universities around the world.
“I am immensely proud of the achievements of the IB graduating class of 2016, who have not only achieved excellent academic results but also thrown themselves into the IB programme with such enthusiasm, and truly demonstrated the IB’s mission of making the world a better place through their efforts. As a non-selective school, these results are a testament to not only the hard work of the students, but also the professionalism and dedication of the teaching and learning support staff who work to ensure the ambitions of each and every one of our students are fully realized. I warmly congratulate the students and their parents for their tremendous achievements and wish them every success as they move on to their future careers, which I am sure will be very bright," Mr. Andy Puttock, Principal of BSB Shunyi said.
