Friendship has been a big topic for discussion this half term! Year One used all of their knowledge about friendship to design their very own logo which they reproduced onto a t-shirt. Coupled with their fantastic homework hats there was nothing else for it but to host a fashion show to display our learning throughout this topic. The children glided down the cat walk, some with attitude others with grace. Take a look at some of our fantastic t-shirt and homework hat designs as we took to the stage together to celebrate.
The children were inspired when investigating the properties of materials in science. We learnt new vocabulary and applied them when writing riddles for others to guess; can you solve the clues in the riddles we have included here? The fun didn’t stop there! We used our knowledge of the properties of materials when carrying out an investigation into the best material for a crash mat. Humpty Dumpty was about to fall off the wall and we need to stop him from cracking! Which material do you think they chose?
