Year 6 Mathematical Thinking

In Year 6 we have been investigating scale and ratio in maths.

The challenge was to make an origami dog (this was the easy bit) and then use the measurements to make other dogs to a different scale.

The children found out that this was not as straightforward as they first believed and needed to apply many skills in order to solve the problem. Some of their mathematical thinking can be seen in the corridor outside Flamingo's classroom.
