March to Athens with our COBIS Team!

02 March 2015

Today our Head of PE, Mr Martin Pate formally presented the school sporting logo - the "NAIS Knights". It reflects the ethos of our school and ties in with our whole school house system where our houses are named after famous castles.

Mr Pate continued to announce a "March to Athens" campaign. To support our team of 14 athletes who are heading to Athens for the COBIS Primary Olympic Games in May, our PE Team is inviting all our pupils, parents and staff to do a sponsored “March to Athens” during the month of March. The bad news is that it is 8,566 km from Hong Kong to Athens! The good news is that we’ll all be sharing the pain and the excitement by collectively working to the 8,566 km!

Please use the ‘March to Athens’ log and sponsorship form on which they can log every kilometre that they travel during the month of March: on foot, by bike, swimming, roller-blading, dragon boating – any sport you like. To encourage pupils to do more exercise this month, we shared a presentation on what sports teachers and staff like participating in. See below - please enjoy!

We look forward staying healthy together and counting up those kilometres!

A big thanks to Calvin Te (Year 3) who played beautifully on the piano this morning. In fact all our talented musicians playing at our assemblies for this half-term will be participants in the HK Music Festival this month.
