UPDATE ON OUR EXPANSION WORK
The extension project behind our school is going to schedule, despite a really wet start to the year. The “mini-piles” which hold up the building, and are the noisiest part of the construction, are now completed. We’re now reinforcing with sheet piles, which has caused some odd, but entirely safe, mini tremors for our school today. This was all the more exciting for our Year 5s who are studying earthquakes and tremors!
So far we think we’ve succeeded in keeping the disruption to a minimum, and we’re all trying to focus on the positives, which will be a new Multi-Purpose Room (like a mini Hall, for a range of events), six fully-equipped classrooms, science labs and a 5/f shaded playing field. Once completed, and we’re still on track for August 2017, this additional space allows us to teach from Year 1 to Year 11 on this Campus. We’ve also had approval for new shading over the big playground and a much-needed expansion to our cafeteria. We’re targeting to complete this work over the summer break.
Our students continued to show their commitment to their Houses as they battled it out in the Inter-House Hockey Competition. The victors this year were Windsor (KS1), Caernarfon (KS2), Caernarfon (KS3). Well done to all our students on trying their best and being ambitious for their teams and Houses.

Thank you again to Nathan’s parents, Mr and Mrs Tang for being such good sports and spending the day with Nathan and Mr Cooklin as our “Principal For A Day”.
On a personal note, Mr Cooklin has kindly agreed that I should stay on until the end of June. I am delighted to be with you all until the end of our second year. For me, it’s perfect closure on a wonderful job. I’m really looking forward to the busy two months ahead.
