By the time the gates opened to the queue of excited guests on Friday 4th November, 30 decorated cars were in place and the school campus was decorated.
The Halloween committee who had worked so hard over the holidays started decorating the school at 2.30pm and the class cars arrived from 5pm. The level of creativity, enthusiasm and effort put into the cars and the site was staggering. Cars from Nursery to Year 7 were parked in the car park and up the drive, each featuring a game, tricks and treats. The costumes and the decorations were simply amazing.
The site was decorated with cobwebs, ghosts, pumpkins, giant red-eyed spiders and the school foyer transformed into a Halloween wonderland. Centre Stage helped to create our very own Secondary School Thriller Flashmob which was impressive, to say the least.
We have been overwhelmed with thanks form all the visitors who came to the event and those who witnessed the schoo being transformed.
The DCA would like to extend HUGE thanks to the Halloween Committee, Errna Ewen, Rebecca Smith, Ann Geehman, Ellie Canning Daisy Bird, Karen Ormond, Sue Bland, George Bullworthy Jill Rodavich, Paola Marron. And equally HUGE thanks to the classes who went to such enormous lengths to decorate their cars and themselves! Thank you also to Dave Bradshaw who lent us the speakers to play the music from and the Secondary School volunteers who helped in the set up and the hall.
