To promote collaborative learning among DCIS Secondary students, some classes from Year 7, 8 and 9 have been participating in Kagan games during their registration time. Kagan is a cooperative learning strategy designed so that students can learn from each other in a safe environment. The games can be as simple as tag, but require students to listen carefully, use coordination and follow instructions whilst learning to be competitive, yet still understanding towards each other. The students have enjoyed spending time with people from different year groups and being active before they settle into lessons for the day!
