We are delighted to announce that In May the DCA will be hosting a variety of events. 

Secondary School Disco: Friday 6th May, 7pm-10pm

The very first Senior School social event is taking place in the Cooper Hall on Friday 6th May from 7pm-10pm with the Secondary School Disco. Tickets are reasonably priced at $8 per each and include a free soft drink. Order forms and permission slips can be dropped off in reception and tickets will be sent out next week.

Family sporting afternoon: Saturday 28th May, 3pm-7pm

Save the date for our Summer term family event! This will be your opportunity to try out new sports and to have lots of fun with friends and family!! In association with the PE department we have planned a Football World Cup, ultimate frisbee, cricket, water games, assorted games, fun relay races and an obstacle course with more to be confirmed. Come down to school from 2.45pm to register and bring your trainers!! Food and drinks will be available and the Brownies will also be selling cakes for charity. 

Cycling courses 

The DCA has teamed up with Cycle Schools SG to offer 2 courses. Registration forms will be available to download from Friday.

Learn to Cycle

Students will achieve the ability to balance on 2 wheels, cycle for a minimum of 10 meters and stop the bicycle using the brakes over 2 one-hour lessons.

  • Lesson 1: Visualization, transition balance and steering balance. 
  • Lesson 2: Steering balance, turning, braking and peddling. 

If a third session is required to gain confidence then this will also be available.

Maximum 6 students per group, 9.45am-10.45am, cost $100 for 2 sessions, $50 / hour thereafter

Cycle Safe Programme

Students will achieve a better understanding of the basics of a bicycle, the mechanics of cycling, improve cycling and stopping skills and gain exposure to cycling hazards to develop a foundation for situational awareness. 

This is a 4 week course, cost $200 per student, maximum 6 students per class
