On Friday 10th June, the Year 10 Global Citizenship class hosted the DCIS Earth Day as part of their IGCSE coursework. With all students being encouraged to come to school dressed in green to raise awareness of climate change, they managed to raise over $1,600 for charity!
The Year 10 students also led an informative assembly for the Secondary school and showcased a video they had created on the issue. Fun facts were shared in all classes throughout the day by the teachers and selected Year 2 classes even had some older students from Year 10 visit their classes to teach them a lesson about climate change and what they can do to help.
We would like to thank all those involved for all their support; we hope everyone used the event to think about their own personal contributions to climate change.
