Netball Matches: Game On!

Both U12 Netball teams travel to Dulwich (DCSG) last Thursday

  • Netball

Great start by both 12 & Under Netball teams at Dulwich College (DCSG) last Thursday. The matches were played over 10 min quarters so allowed the girls to establish rhythm & develop themselves as a team on court.

The 12 & U `A` team played SJII & dominated from start to finish although the scoreline of 3 – 0 does not reflect that. We were rarely troubled in defence & when then ball did arrive in our opponents shooting circle it was quickly & efficiently dealt with by our players. We just need to convert those opportunities now at the other end.

The 12 & U `B` team came up against DCSG. They had an awesome shooting unit but that did not deter our players (several who of whom were playing their first ever netball match). Shuffling around our positions in the second quarter we sent in Jack `Two Sisters` and he marked out the Goal Attack of DCSG. Suddenly, we were having ball possession & Kyuri was able to shoot…and…score… twice! That gave our guys a huge boost & put any thoughts of how many DCSG had scored in the first quarter out of minds.
