Under 10s Netball - Tears and Jaffa Cakes!

06 November 2017

The two Under 10s Netball teams have been AWESOME this season.

  • Under 10s Netball - Tears & Jaffa Cakes!
  • Under 10s Netball - Tears & Jaffa Cakes!
  • Under 10s Netball - Tears & Jaffa Cakes!

They have been practicing their passing and shooting at every spare moment for the past few weeks, the improvement in their individual skills and team work on the court has been astronomical, and, their enthusiasm has been infectious. Sadly, on Finals Day there was not a medal – the Blue team were runners up in their section due to goal difference and, then lost 2-1 in the FINAL 5 SECONDS of the bronze playoff match. The Black team were 4th in their section.

The girls thoroughly deserved their Jaffa Cakes at the end. The adults needed to lie down after all the tension and excitement.

The great news, is that many of the players are eligible for the Under 9s team, whilst others will, no doubt, play in the Under 11 team for Season 3. It has been a delight to travel to DCSG each week for the matches and to watch them learn, develop and love the game of netball.

Finally, I must say a very special Thank you to Mrs. Roache for her time, energy and work with the teams.
