Active Planet at 3HB and 3RG

Student build structures to withstand earthquake, hurricane and tsunami simulation

As part of the entry point for their new topic, the children of 3HB and 3RG were set the challenge of building a solid structure using only newspaper.  Little did they know that the topic, 'Active Planet', investigates how volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis occur and the devastation this brings to communities.

The children gasped in anticipation as their structures were put to the test to see if they could withstand a simulation of these natural disasters.
