An amazing week of sport took place on the DCIS field last week. With sports days for each year group from Nursery through Secondary School, the emphasis was about having fun and as the age increased, adding a competitive element. The week was full of cheering from the parents, smiles from the students and competitiveness from the mums and dads in the parent sprints, tug of war and ball throw competitions.
Our Primary School students from Nursery to Year 4 competed in a carousel rotation of stations. Here the emphasis was on enjoyment and fun. Years 5 and 6 held a competitive sports day, with points for their class up for grabs. Congratulations to 5JF and 6CP for winning their respective year groups. Finally, the Secondary School sports day took on a new format, with pupils rotating from basketball and volleyball to dodgeball and athletics. Although the weather was not at its kindest, we had an amazing week of sport at DCIS.
We have included a selection of photos from the first two days which include Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. More photos to come!
