We woke to a beautiful morning, split into groups and packed our bags for our first training day. Group A honed their map reading skills to navigate to a nearby meadow and had a great morning of team bonding games and cooking their own lunch. Group B set out with their backpacks and trekking poles and trekked through forest paths, passing by waterfalls and meadows. The views of the surrounding countryside were spectacular.

The groups met for lunch and then swapped activities. We met for dinner and enjoyed a delicious Swiss themed fondue dinner.

Tomorrow Group A will set off on their two-day alpine trek and Group B will be hiking in snow shoes to Glacier 3000.
