Three superb water polo tournaments formed the Secondary School basis to cap off another very successful Swimming Gala week.

Starting with a combined Years 9 and 10 Gala on Friday 23rd June, the pace was fast, the shots hard and the rivalry between teams conducted in a superbly competitive manner.

There were many goals in each game, with four out of the six games decided by only one goal.

However, the winning team were the blue team, star player Elliott (Year 9) scoring seven of his team’s eight goals.

A special mention to our referee Taiyo (Year 9) who did a superb job each game.

Tuesday 27th June saw our Year 7 and 8 students do battle in separate competitions.

The Year 8 competition again provided excitement, drama, goals a plenty and huge enthusiasm from both the competitors and supporters. There were some high scoring matches including both a 5-5 and 4-4 draw. However the victors were the blue team.

Our final competition saw the Year 7 compete in their first water polo tournament. Again the support in the stands and action in the pool was superb. As with the previous tournaments, there were many close high scoring games, with the Yellow team emerging as champions.

All three water polo tournaments were fantastic. Every student participating from Years 7 - 10 did so with enthusiasm and passion, to create a well fought tournament for their respective age groups.
