Last Friday’s assembly consisted of a variety of Global Campus presentations. We learned about the experiences DCIS students had in far off locations around the world.
Sam and Indira took part in the Global Summit in New York this past July. They presented about their roles while they were there; Sam as a part of the media team and Indira a presenter to the UN representatives. The students were inspired to start their own project to support the Global Goals and are looking for others who are interested in making a difference in Singapore to get involved.
The Switzerland expedition presentation came with stunning photos and the Year 8 and 9 students that attended sharing their personal accounts. We learned about their hiking adventures, their close calls with the weather and what life was like for them during a week in the mountains. They wrapped it up with a poem that shared the impact this trip had on the students and learning experiences that they will take with them.
The Global Campus activities that are now open to the secondary students were also shared. The Photographers of the Year competition is open for registration and the deadline is 30th October. Students are now able to participate in the Global Library and it will remain open throughout the year.
We encourage everyone to get online to participate with other students in our NAE family!
