So far, our trip has been one of extreme weather and full timetables. The day we arrived in the US, a snow storm hit and by the time we woke up on our first morning, everything was blanketed in white. Although this made our toes a little cold, it also gave us a chance to have some fantastic snowball fights and build a few abstract snowmen.
The competition got underway on Friday and Saturday with the students taking part in a scavenger hunt, their creative writing competition and, of course, the nerve-wracking debates. Our students have been the most fantastic ambassadors for Dover Court, always conducting themselves in a professional manner and treating the other delegates with kindness and enthusiasm. We have been so proud of them so far!
Tonight is the long-awaited Scholar’s Ball and then tomorrow we will be going on our tour of Boston, including seeing Harvard and MIT. There is still a lot of excitement left for the week and a few more quick naps on the yellow school bus we take every morning!
