Great Start to the Season for the Under 9 Boys Football A-Team

It was a stormy afternoon as the Boys’ U9 A Football team took to the turf for their first fixture of the season.

  • Thrilling Victory for U9 Boys Football

The only lightning visible was in the speed of play in which they dismantled their first opponents during a thrilling 3-0 victory over UWC East, with Tim standing out with some heroic tackling. As the rain started to fall the boys found things a lot tougher against our neighbours from Dulwich, who ran out 2-1 victors. The result did not reflect their efforts and the boys were unlucky to not come away with at least a draw – the Dulwich goalkeeper being player of the match.  Overall, a very encouraging start to the season and we feel extremely proud that we have a team in this age category playing in the highest Division – Division 1 – for the very first time.
