The students were treated to a special presentation given by Mr Arias, one of the parents in the class, who is from Costa Rica. The children thoroughly enjoyed the talk and were excited to contribute. Mr Arias shared so many wonderful facts about his home country and our students learnt everything they needed to know in 25 minutes! They especially enjoyed learning that you can say ‘Pura Vida’ when greeting or saying thank you when in Costa Rica. It means ‘Pure Life’. Also, apparently if you live in Costa Rica, you will be one of the longest living people on earth! Mr Arias’ grandmother is 97 years old, so it must be true! Thank you very much Mr Arias for teaching us about your country, I think we will all be coming to live there as we get older!
