The children were given a guided tour around the discovery centre and were wowed by the interesting insects, exotic flowers and fluttering butterflies. We were also lucky enough to get an up-close encounter with butterflies, macaws and stick insects. After having a snack amongst the wilderness, we wandered through a nature trail spotting and learning about as many flowers and insects as we could. Finally, after lunch, we got a chance to cool off in the paddling zone after an exciting but humid day in the rainforest.
