Thank you to all who helped make our Secondhand Uniform Sale such a success before the Easter Holidays! A massive organisational effort was undertaken by a group of volunteers before the sale. They processed, weighed, sorted and folded 190kg of donated uniform; 106kg alone came during the drop off days for the sale.
The sale was held over two days in the last week before the holidays. We welcomed 116 shoppers who bought 74kg worth of uniform. That is the equivalent of 123 full primary uniforms! Over the two days, the sale took in 474,820HUF for Ukrainian refugees and saved 74kg worth of uniform from landfills!
We will also keep most of the leftover stock for the next event. We plan to hold another sale in August before the start of the new academic year so please do not throw out your old uniform, we will give it a new life within our community.
Well done BISB!
