BSB Spring Hike to Intelligence Valley

  • Spring Hike

Dear Parents,

We are holding our annual BSB family hike on Saturday 18th April.  We will walk through the lovely “Intelligence Valley” which is 80 minutes away from school. The hike takes about one hour and after winding our way along the trail, enjoying the beautiful countryside, we will end up in a scenic spot for a picnic lunch by the water. We will then hike back down the valley to the waiting buses. The gentle path will take us past streams and pools, with abundant bird, insect and plant life around us – very pleasant at this time of year, but it is rocky in places and is not suitable for toddlers or strollers, unfortunately. Babies and toddlers in parents’ backpack carriers are very welcome, of course.

All participating families should bring sensible walking shoes/trainers and layers of clothing for a cool day. Please also bring a picnic lunch. The cost, which includes transport and an entrance fee, is 75RMB per person or a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) costs 250RMB.

The bus will leave Sanlitun campus at 8.30am and Shunyi campus at 9am and leave the picnic area at 3.00pm. Please be at your departure point 10 minutes before these times to avoid missing or delaying the bus. Parents will be fully responsible for their children on the day and children should not be sent unaccompanied. Please complete the reply slip below and hand in with the correct money in an envelope marked ‘Spring Hike 2015’ at the main reception by Tuesday 14th April. Due to bus deadlines we will be unable to accept registration and payment after this date.

Best wishes,
