After a 7.30am start today followed by a hearty breakfast, the students were split back into their groups from yesterday, for more team building exercises and fun.
Today our group were based on the beautiful meadowland right next to our outdoor base camp hotel, surrounded by the soon-to-be snow-capped mountains. Once there students worked together to develop more effective ways for their team to function, as witnessed in the wild and wacky bamboo pipe ball run, which involved students combining their 30cm long pipes to transport a small ball over 50 metres between them. Other highlights of the morning included the three-legged sack race and frisbee dodgeball!
We then made a short bus journey to LingYan Temple for lunch followed by an education on Buddhism, Confucius, stupas and pagodas, whilst touring the lovely grounds of the temple originating from over 1500 years ago.
Our evening saw us arrive in our next destination of Tai'an for an evening meal, reflection and a good night's sleep before our hike tomorrow.
