New Library Coming in Summer 2018

12a
New Library Coming in Summer 2018 We believe that reading is a vital key to unlocking learning and that the library should be the heartbeat of the school.

We believe that reading is a vital key to unlocking learning and that the library should be the heartbeat of the school. We want our library at NIS to be a vibrant hub for learning, information, reading promotion, creativity, and social interaction within our school community.

We are delighted to share with you the images of our new library, which will be refurbished over the summer ready for the new school year in August.

Our new library has been designed to fit well with our calm and natural approach and be exciting for all our students, from the little ones up to the bigger ones. It will be a flexible space, with a wide and inclusive range of resources to support learning and teaching throughout the school, and will have a vibrant role in the development of our school culture that promotes wider reading, motivated readers and learners for life. With lots of great books, access to technology, and both indoor and outdoor spaces to read and research, we hope to develop a life-long love of reading in all our students.

We believe that the way to get children reading is to leave the library door open and let them read anything and everything they want. So, we look forward to opening our new library doors in August and enabling all our school community to get involved in reading.
