Aydita A., a Village high school student, attended the HCC Maker Faire Ideas Pitch Competition recently. We are proud of Aydita and the initiative he has shown.
"The HCC Ideas Pitch competition is a great experience for anyone who is passionate about an idea, and wants to see the development of that idea. HCC’s goal is to help you in making connections and provide some monetary reward for winning the pitching competition to jumpstart your idea. They help you make connections by having you go to the Maker Faire and pitch your idea to the attendees, who may have information you haven’t heard about, or give feedback which is beneficial for the idea," Aydita said.
"Qualifying in the competition and heading out to the Maker Faire to pitch my idea has dramatically changed it for the better, since I was able to find a lot more information since the people that stopped to listen about my website, all had different knowledge bases and backgrounds, giving me an opportunity to gain great feedback, which I wouldn’t have within the limits of my everyday life."
