Jonathan delivered specially designed workshops for students from years one to six. He also provided training for school staff and delivered a seminar for parents. Throughout his visit, Jonathan emphasised his view that the internet is a valuable educational resource. Each of his sessions centred around identifying and overcoming risks. To minimise risks online, students, staff and parents were encouraged to reflect on the ‘Three C’s’:
● Content - is it appropriate?
● Contact - does the online activity involve interactions with others?
● Conduct - how are we or others behaving online?
Teachers have planned activities to revisit the key messages throughout the academic year. We will also share Jonathan’s parent presentation along with a list of helpful resources as soon as they become available.
