He also introduced the summer school opportunities that are available through the Foundation this year. BSKL students have had excellent experiences on the summer school programmes before.
“The programmes are specially designed for students aged 15-17 who like to be challenged – intellectually and creatively. Based on the campuses of leading universities in the USA, the United Kingdom (England and Scotland) and Canada, the programmes introduce you to future study at those universities, at one of the other universities which you’ll visit, or in fact to life at university in general. Many are multi-centre, so you see different sides of the country visited.”
The KE Foundation offer a number of scholarships which means that KE pays a proportion of the programme fees. The Foundation ask that BSKL staff recommend students for scholarships and so if any students are interested in applying for one of these, they should contact Ms Macleod. The KE Foundation deadline for these scholarship applications is 31st January.
