BSKL for Malayan Tigers was created by Sasha in 6B in order to raise awareness about the plight of the Malayan tiger. Sasha began her project at the end of Year 5 and it has grown into an inspiring project for all the children at BSKL. Through her hard work and determination, Sasha has planned and organised a range of events starting with a tiger art competition to create a BSKL calendar all the way to Tiger Day.
Sasha ensured that the whole school was able to take part in Tiger Day. EYFS were delighted to have the Tiger Team to visit to teach them some tiger themed art. Some of the Tiger Team also visited at the end of the day to lead an EYFS assembly to educate Nursery and Reception about tigers.
Years 1-6 got the opportunity to visit the exhibition by Jabatan Perhilitan Malaysia exhibition on the Mezzanine Level. Years 1 and 2 also had the opportunity to create some tiger themed sand art. Jabatan Perhilitan Malaysia also did a talk for Years 4 and 5 about Malayan tiger conservation and how we can help. In addition to these exciting learning opportunities, Sasha also organised a tiger themed bake sale with cookies, cake pops and cup which was very popular. Well done to Sasha on organising such an exciting and informative day.
