After a long December break, DCIS students came back this January to a myriad of new ECAs, classrooms, teachers and events.
DCIS students have had a chance to jump back into their sports, with swimming, netball and football all continuing their league activities. We have had excellent results from all of our sports teams, who have had the opportunity to play and compete against many of the Singapore international schools.

In Primary School, our new Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms have opened. These bright and open classrooms are attractive additions and we are looking forward to the Vertical Playground (for children aged 5 and over) opening behind the Year 1 classrooms.
We have also introduced a new system of House Points, with results being announced every two weeks during student assemblies. Points are accumulated through sports and academics, ranging from subjects such as Maths, History and Geography. House Points will be on display on the board next to the Sensory Garden.
With the Global Campus continuing to grow there are numerous new 'Challenges', from the Lego Challenge to the William Shakespeare Global Theatre Challenge. Students can log in to the Global Campus or contact their teacher for more information.
