It was good to welcome our parents to the Online Safety Workshop to discuss one of the most important issues facing parents and young people today: Safety and security while navigating the internet. The workshop was led by our Head of Secondary, Mr. Smith, and was aimed at all Primary and Secondary age ranges. The intended outcomes of the workshop were as follows:

  • Be able to identify the potential risks of internet use for children
  • Know how to talk to your son/daughter about what they are doing online
  • Understand some of the tools available to keep your son/daughter safe online
  • Know what to do if your son/daughter faces an issue whilst using the internet

The attached presentation gives details of what was discussed and additional videos were used to demonstrate some of the potential issues facing internet users. There are other age appropriate videos on the site detailed in the presentation.

We concluded the workshop with a Q&A which raised some interesting and thought provoking points. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or issues on the subject of online safety for your children.
